Digital Microscope

Definition

A digital microscope is similar to a traditional optical microscope that enables users to view specimens in a variety of magnification powers.  In addition, a digital microscope also enables users to capture images in still and video formats.

Features

A digital microscope is easy to use and provides a number of features not found on an optical microscope. Teachers can project images on a screen for the entire class to observe and discuss. Some digital microscopes also enable the user to capture still images and annotate and mark them up.  Additionally, users can export them to be used in reports and presentations.  IntelŐs Digital Blue microscopes are quite popular in schools and are designed for use by children.
